ABOUT US
Be The Changemakers Inc. (BTC) is an educational organization that aims to empower everyday people to be the change they want to see. Through educational forums conducted in various school districts, college classrooms, and universities around the country, community members convene with professors, elected officials, organizers, activists, and other community stakeholders to join forces to solve societal ills. Believing the people closest to the problem are closest to the solution, our curriculum equips participants to make a difference and change the
world collectively.
BTC provides programs for both youth and adults. At-risk youth and those from marginalized populations are at significantly greater risk for decreased capacity for self-improvement and empowerment. To combat these challenges, BTC has formulated programming utilizing the empowerment theory to address concerns relating to social injustices, incorporating career readiness and soft skills development. Putting more emphasis on students emotional intelligence in education has become a global movement. That, along with a renewed focus on career training, is an evidenced path toward success for students and the community at large.

BTC programming aims to reduce and eliminate the number of justice-impacted youth by improving their vocational/life skills and emotional stability. The organizations goal is to strengthen youths self-awareness, empower young voices to express themselves effectively, and create capacity building with staff and school stakeholders. BTC is committed to ensuring that participants are provided with innovative programming that meets their needs, improves self-efficacy, and further strengthens the connection between youth-home-school-community. Young people today experience intense economic exclusion, lack access to political influence and are subjected to pervasive social stigma. As a result, BTC helps youth nationwide mobilize to demand a say in public policy and transform institutions to be more accountable to their communities.
